Grant is currently working as the Director for Career Technical Education Credentialing and the California Agricultural Teachers' Induction Program (CATIP) through the Yolo-Solano Center for Teacher Credentialing.  As a California native Grant was raised in the central valley engaging heavily in his education through participation in Agricultural Education.  His involvement in agriculture began at Peter Johansen High School at a student of the agriculture program and member of the National FFA Organization.  Grant earned his Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Education at California State University, Chico in 2007 and continued on to the Masters program at the University of California, Davis where he earned his teaching credential (2008) and Master of Arts degree (2009).  He is currently working on coursework for a PhD in Education, and expects to be completed at the close of 2020.  Grant's career has been constructed of over twenty years of involvement in agriculture education at, and above, the secondary level in California.  Grant's research interests surround Agricultural Education with particular focus in teacher preparation, teacher induction, education policy and leadership.
