Day 1 for Student Teachers

Today I had an opportunity to sit in the back of the room as a faculty supervisor for the 2016-2017 cohort of student teachers here at Oregon State. I found myself flashing back to my introductory experience 9 years ago in a classroom at the Western Center for Agriculture Equipment at UC Davis. I was just as excited about entering a profession I had so much passion for; built on years of valuable experiences. I look forward to what this group will do over the course of their year. I know that the trials, tribulations, and successes they will endure will shape their career into that which will positively affect high school students for many years to come. It's sad for me to be away from the students that I enjoyed every day, but humbling to know that I will be able to play a role in the development of the Agriculture Teachers who will now shape their lives.
